Canine Influenza Virus (CIV)
The Healgen CIV Rapid Test is a chromatographic immunoassay kit for the rapid, qualitative, and differential determination of canine influenza virus antigens from nasal discharge swab specimens in canine.
Canine Influenza Virus (CIV) is a recently emergent pathogen of dogs that has caused highly contagious respiratory disease in racing Greyhounds, domestic dogs, and shelter animals.
Antigens of influenza virus type in the canine specimens are allowed to react with the anti-influenza monoclonal antibody-coupled gold conjugate followed by reaction with another anti-influenza monoclonal antibodies immobilized in the test lines. When the sample contains influenza virus, a visible line appears in the test region on the membrane. The Healgen CIV Rapid Tests is also very useful to directly detect influenza virus from nasal swab of canine.
