Houston, August 28th, 2024 – Healgen Scientific LLC, a leading provider of diagnostic and medical testing solutions, is proud to announce the grand opening of its manufacturing facility and office headquarters located in Houston, Texas. This expansion marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth and commitment to enhancing global health and providing testing kits worldwide.
To celebrate the grand opening, Healgen hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony today at our new warehouse, followed by guided tours of the facility for attendees. Local officials, business leaders, and members of the media were invited to join Healgen’s leadership team and employees in commemorating this momentous occasion.
During the welcome ceremony, State Representative of District 137 in the Texas House Gene Wu commemorated the collaborative efforts that led to this event especially those given by Chinese immigrants and Chinese Americans despite the push to ban these efforts.
“This business is an international collaboration,” Wu said. “Thank you for giving us the opportunity to build these great jobs, put out this great facility and revitalize a wonderful neighborhood to make sure that Houston stays the best.”
Houston City Controller Chris Hollins, along with the Director of Community Engagement at the Office of City Controller of Houston, JoAnne Ray, presented Bryan Fang, President of Healgen Scientific, with a recognition on the official opening of Healgen’s new U.S. headquarters.
“On behalf of more than 2 million Houstonians, we applaud Healgen Scientific LLC on bringing world-class innovation and disease management to the United States, and I congratulate you on your track record of success,” Hollins said.
Other notable elected officials in attendance included Congressman Al Green and Jim Johnson, President and CEO at Pearland Chamber of Commerce, and Adrian Garcia, representative for Commissioner from Harris County Precinct.
The new headquarters will serve as the central hub for Healgen's distribution operations, enabling faster processing times and improved inventory management, helping the company meet their goal of producing 800,000 tests per day. In addition to production, Healgen is also looking to add over 200 jobs within the next 3 years. Designed with innovation and collaboration in mind, the modern workspace includes open-plan offices, meeting rooms, and dedicated areas for team collaboration, allowing Healgen’s employees to work more effectively in a dynamic environment.
